So far I've been in this Recovery Phase since the second week of September. From October 2006 through September 2007 I was off completely from my injuries. In September, the rehab phase slowly started... mainly just with stretches and body work...
So, 27 weeks later... here I am! This week had some good runs, and is showing good mileage. Body wise- heres what I'm noting:
- still twisted, maybe less?
- right calf feeling great
- crazy tendinitis in left lower leg
On a scale of 1- 10, ten being Horrible Pain, and 1 being a normal day, I'd say my left leg is a 7.
- My runs are getting faster and stronger...
- I'm trimming down, but still carrying a lot of excess weight.
2/18 M AM-4 mi. on NCR; 40 min sauna w/ 600abs
PM- lifted 1 hour; 3 mi on State XC course, w/ 10x The Dip repeats- Last day of P
2/19 T AM- 4 mi. on NCR in C-ville; 40 min sauna w/600 abs
PM- 4 mi. on NCR in N.F.
2/20 W AM-4 mi on NCR- pretty fast
PM- lifted 1 hr; then 3.5 mi on tredmill- 6:47 pace- no warm up
2/21 Th AM- 4 mi on NCR- snow hard to run on; SORE; * Deep Tissue*
PM- 4 mi on S B rd- very fast
2/22 F AM- 3.5 mi on Tredmill ( ice storm) 30 min Sauna w/500 abs
PM- lifted 1 hr; then 2.5 mi on tred- 6:50 pace- stopped early, felt sick/SORE
2/23 Sa AM- 4 mi on NCR in C ville- Very Icy
PM- 4 mi on NCR in C Ville- still icy :-)
2/24 Su AM- 4 mi on NCR in C Ville- yeah, icy
PM- 5 mi on S B road- very sore- didnt feel too good, perhaps ate too much cheese before.
Total for the week- 53.5 miles
3 lifting sessions
3 workouts- ( 1 hill session, 2 speed sessions)
